We Have to Learn to Turn Our Backs on Our Guilty Pleasures

Sometimes I feel a little bit like a broken record.

But I'm going to say it again...

We are our own worst enemies.

Why?

Because we keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again.  We must treat the world as it is, not as we would like it to be.

So let's get started down this ugly road...

I WARNED YOU ABOUT ROSIE GRAY...FOUR AND A HALF YEARS AGO.

But, lo and behold, nobody listened (other than Rosie, who pulled Ron Paul's picture from her Twitter profile.

So, speaking of problems we created ourselves, I noticed Rosie's trending new Buzzf̶u̶c̶k̶ article this morning:

Rather unsurprisingly, Gray is reliably doling out the weapon we warned y'all not to weaponize in the first place.

Let me ask you a few questions...

How are Democratic nations supposed to operate?

Do we function on the basis of accusations, innuendo, and public humiliation?

Are we governed by the court of public opinion or do we allow the courts to assign guilt or innocence?

So last fall, when Kavanaugh stood accused by Dr. Ford, did you vet Dr. Ford before taking her side?  Or was it easier to just hate on Kavanaugh because he's a Conservative you don't like?

More importantly, why did we only first hear about it when hearings were taking place to confirm or deny his appointment on the Supreme Court?

Better yet...is Dr. Ford suing him in civil court?

Did it ever occur to you that you were being played?

In the world of analysis, we look for the little things that don't add up.

On Twitter, I asked you how it was possible for Dr. Ford to be such an outspoken Bernie Sanders supporter with a pro-big pharma job history such as hers.

Nobody bit.

Lo and behold, the Left will never know how many moderate votes were lost in the 2018 elections...the purpose of the Kavanaugh op in the first place, I'll allege.  Instead, the Left claimed victory for election results which *SHOULD HAVE* instead looked like the GOP's 2014 victory.

It came as no surprise to me when Debra Katz became Ford's attorney.

Whatever #MeToo was supposed to have been, it has long since failed.

Instead, I watched as this movement was used in the California elections to destroy the political careers of honorable Hispanic candidates, only to be replaced with candidates I wouldn't trust to clean my toilets.

And now the court of public opinion has reared its ugly head again in #MeToo fashion.

We now have a kooky Putin suck-up making claims about Joe Biden that, again, laid dormant until it became politically convenient to attack the one and only presidential candidate who can defeat Donald Trump this fall.

WE created this nightmare, because we told ourselves that it's o.k. to make unsubstantiated claims against political appointees, politicians, and candidates we don't like, in a highly-charged political environment gasoline-soaked with Disinformation.

It's indefensible.

And, having been the victim of just such attacks, by horrible people, I hope we can all agree that this type of crap needs to stop.
