Folks aren't necessarily cognizant of the fact that they have been suborned by - and parrot - Russian narratives or strategies. They just keep coming back to the hand that feeds them like a rat who hits a lever and gets a food pellet in a behavioral psychology experiment. And since there are so many of us, they will always find new useful idiots to lift up and go viral. At least this seems to have been the model of Popular Front Hollywood as far as I can tell.
