Another annoying article yesterday that totally misses the mark:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia-in-venezuela-why-vladimir-putin-troops-back-nicolas-maduro-vs-donald-trump-us/
No, Ms. Litvinova, Russia isn't investing billions in Venezuela just so it can be seen as a "force to be reckoned with". They're protecting a $388 billion cocaine trafficking franchise.
If you can't write an article about Russian intervention in Venezuela without totally missing the mark, STAY AT HOME and leave the analysis to people who actually know what the hell is going on down there.
Somehow, Venezuela's well-earned title as "mafia state" has completely evaded Ms. Litvinova's radar.
I hold CBS News equally culpable in publishing this drivel.
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.
Russian paramilitary contractors working with the Cubans in Venezuela. In English, we call people like this "enforcers". You know, like MS-13's relationship with the FMLN (ALSO a Cuban-Russian co-production).
JOURNALISTS, DO YOUR F*CKING JOBS.
The media didn’t do their jobs during the lead up the Iraq war.
